Banana and Almond Halwa


  • 2 bananas (200 gms) ripe, peeled and mashed

  • 50gms Sugar or as per your taste. More or less

  • 2 tbsp ghee

  • 100 gms ground almonds

  • 1 tbspCardamompowdered

  • Saffron: 3-4 strands (crushed)

Method: 1. In a pan heat 1 tbsp of ghee.Fry the almond powder lightly ( not for long ) and keep aside.. In the same pan add the banana and cook for about 1-2 minutes.Keep the flame on low and keep stirring until the mixture gets thick. This procedure will take about 7-8 minutes. Next add sugar and mix well. Now add the remaining 1 tbsp of ghee and mix well. After 2-3 minutes the mixture will become glossy. Add cardamom powder, saffron, and ground almond .Mix well and switch off the flame.Serve hot or cold .
